WINEAUX Chateau Montelena Napa Valley Chardonnay 2007 -Aromas of peach, pear and apple. Meduim bodied with good length and a crisp finish. It was Montelena that defeated the french in the famous Steven Spurrier tasting of 1976. Wine Spectator gave this wine a 91, Robert Parker gave it a 90. Price Range-Under $50.00

WINEAUX Pascual Toso Malbec Argentina 2006-Aromas of blackberry, cherry,plum and currant with smooth tannins and a hint of pepper on the finish. Price range-Under $15.00

WINEAUX Piper Heidsieck Brut Champagne - A blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Meunier and 15% Chardonnay. Aromas of apple, peach, and vanilla. This medium bodied bubbly is refined and vibrant with a crisp finish. Wine Spectator gave this a 91. Price Range-Under $30.00

WINEAUX D'Arenberg Stump Jump GSM McLaren Vale South Australia 2008-This wine is a blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre. Aromas of cherry, blackberry and raspberry with a touch minerality on the finish. This wine was chosen one of Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2009

WINEAUX La Crema Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir-2007-Aromas of cherries and raspberries. This wine is silky and crisp, with rich flavors of pomegranates, plum and cinnamon. Wine and spirits gave this a 90.

WINEAUX Landmark Overlook California Chardonnay 2007-Aromas of green apple, lime and citrus this full bodied Chardonnay is balanced with a crisp finish. Wine Spectator gave this a 92

WINEAUX Justin Cabernet Sauvignon Paso Robles 2002- It is deep ruby in color. Aromas of plums, raisins,dark fruit and berry flavours, with firm tannins and long finish.

WINEAUX Happy Canyon Vineyards Piocho Santa Barbara County 2006-The blend is 50% Cabernet Franc, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 5% Malbec. Aromas cherry and leather, this wine is dark and dense with smooth tannins.

WINEAUX LongSword Vineyard Accolade semi sparkling Chardonnay- Aromas of pineapple and pear, this bubbly is fruity but balanced and perfect for brunch!

WINEAUX Spangler Chardonnay 2006-This Chardonnay is totally unoaked, aromas of citrus, pear and loads of pineapple with a bit of spice on a layered finish.

WINEAUX Woolridge creek Vineyard and Winery- Tucked away in the Applegate valley this winery is well worth the trip. The bottle that we ended up purchasing was the Terravow 2007- A blend of 60% Tempranillo,30% Zinfandel,10% Syrah. Aromas of cherry and plum, this is a well balanced wine that is so smooth and easy to drink, could easily lose track of how much you have consumed.

WINEAUX Juslyn Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard Select 2003-Aromas of plum, black currant and tobacco, excellent balance and a long finish. This wine is a blend from the two famed vineyards of To Kalon in Oakville and Dr. Crane in St. Helena, aged in new french oak for 28 months. Robert Parker gave this wine a 91.

WINEAUX If you are ever in Jacksonville Oregon, you must stop by South Stage Cellars. They not only pour their wines but pour some of the wineries who buy their grapes. Everything we tasted was fabulous. One of my favorites was the Chateau Lorane Duirf(Petite Sirah) it was one of the smoothest petite sirah's I have ever tasted. Aromas of plum and cherry, full bodied and complex with a smokey oak finish.

WINEAUX Edenvale Pear House Reserve Syrah 2003- Garnet in color with aromas of berries, black cherry and chocolate. This wine is medium-full bodied with smooth tannins and a spicy finish. This syrah won Gold at the "Grand Harvest Awards

WINEAUX Del Rio Vineyards -This Winery is a little hard to find because of road work that is being done but totally worth the effort. The winery and grounds are charming, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The wines are all great! My favorite was the 2008 Syrah. Aromas of plum, black currant,and thyme, full bodied, aged in 50% new oak gives it a spicy finish.

WINEAUX Schmidt Family Vineyards-This is a beautiful winery and tasting room. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. My Favorite was the Syrah 2007- Aromas of blackberry, and raspberry, soft tannins with a long finish. This wine won Gold in "World of wine" and "Grand Harvest Awards".

WINEAUX EdenVale Dry Rose 2007-Aromas of strawberry and cranberry this is a complex wine that has a crisp, mineral finish.This Rosé is a blend of Chardonnay, Viognier, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir blended with Dolcetto and Syrah.

WINEAUX Quady North- This tasting room is in downtown Jacksonville, from the moment I stepped in I felt welcome. It could have been the fabulous selection of music they were playing. (The Cure,Editors..) The tasting began with the 2007 Viognier Steelhead Run Vineyard, not overly sweet with aromas of melon and pineapple and ...a bit of minerality on the finish. I am not normally a big fan of Viognier but loved this one!

WINEAUX Argyle Knudsen Vineyard Julia's Lee's Block Willamette Valley Blanc de Blancs 2000- This is my favorite sparkler from Argyle. Creamy with melon and apple notes that lead to an elegant dry, crisp finish. Robert Parker's Wine Advocate gave this wine a 93. Wine Spectator gave it a 92.

WINEAUX Clos du Val Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2006- One of my favorite Napa cabs for under $30.00. Aromas of currant and spice with flavors of herbs, cherries and blackberries. Good acidity and nice tannins. Wine Enthusiast gave this wine a 92.

WINEAUX B.R. Cohn Silver Label Sonoma Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2006- . Aromas of berry, cassis and black cherry fruit. This cabernet is aged in french oak for 18 months, adding spicy, vanilla flavors and tannin. A good, focused cabernet for under $20.00.
